Clegg Industries recently completed an extensive refurb project for Loftin Performance Racing.
The project involved a comprehensive overhaul of a 1990s-era race transporter tractor trailer. Our team began with a complete teardown, removing aged wall materials and a compromised upper deck consisting of warped aluminum. From there, we executed a precision-focused rebuild to meet the demanding standards of modern racing logistics.
Project Scope & Upgrades
To transform the trailer into a professional-grade mobile workspace, our team completed the following:
Structural & Floor Work: Installed new aluminum floor sheets on the upper level, reinforced with new D-rings for secure transport. The lower level received a durable, high-traction rubber coin flooring.
Interior Finishing: Fabricated and installed new plywood lower walls finished with professional black carpet. We also repainted the large interior fender boxes to match the updated aesthetic.
Storage & Utility: Integrated a custom cabinet package and added a dedicated area for pro jack storage. We also installed e-track in the lower area for maximum cargo versatility.
Electrical & Pneumatics: Enhanced and relocated electrical systems to optimize the layout and installed dedicated air lines to primary work areas.
Exterior Enhancements: Fully detailed the exterior with a clean, high-visibility white vinyl wrap. We added two aluminum flip-down exterior work benches and high-output LED work lights to ensure a functional perimeter in any environment.
