Designed and manufactured by Clegg Industries, this custom specialty response trailer was built to meet the demanding operational needs of the City of Houston. Starting with a heavy-duty 8.5' x 20' enclosed cargo trailer, the completed unit serves as a rugged, climate-controlled mobile workspace designed for emergency response, field operations, incident command, equipment deployment, and other mission-critical applications.
Equipped with a 50-amp shore power connection and a fully integrated onboard generator system, the trailer is capable of operating efficiently whether connected to utility power or deployed in remote locations.
Built for the Demands of the Field
The trailer is built on an 8.5' x 20' heavy-duty enclosed cargo trailer featuring dual 7,000 lb. axles, commercial-grade 14-ply tires, an extended tongue, adjustable coupler, electric front jack, rear stabilizing jacks, and a rear ramp door for easy equipment loading and unloading.
Two 36-inch side entry doors provide convenient access from either side, while dual exterior awnings create shaded work areas for personnel operating outside the trailer.
Climate-Controlled Mobile Workspace
To ensure year-round comfort, the trailer is fully insulated and professionally finished with interior wall panels. Two roof-mounted air conditioning units maintain a comfortable working environment, while a roof vent provides additional ventilation when needed.
At the front of the trailer, a custom U-shaped workstation provides generous desk space for planning, communications, and computer operations. Overhead storage cabinets are positioned around a large integrated display monitor, creating an efficient mobile command center for field personnel.
Designed for Organization & Deployment
The rear of the trailer features opposing bench seating with integrated storage compartments, providing comfortable seating while keeping equipment organized and protected.
Dual rows of E-Track mounted at 24-inch and 48-inch heights allow equipment to be securely fastened throughout the trailer, providing flexible cargo management for a variety of operational needs.
A durable coin-pattern rolled rubber floor withstands heavy foot traffic and equipment movement while remaining easy to clean after field operations.
Dual Power System
Designed for both fixed-site and remote operations, the trailer features a dual power system capable of operating from either 50-amp shore power or its fully integrated onboard power generation system.
An enclosed 8,000-watt Onan generator is securely mounted on the trailer tongue and paired with an onboard fuel cell and battery system, providing dependable off-grid power whenever utility power is unavailable. Interior controls include convenient generator start/stop functions along with an integrated fuel level gauge for quick system monitoring.

To support field deployment, the trailer includes two folding tables and eight folding chairs for mobile meetings, planning sessions, training, or incident response activities.
Two insulated freezer curtains help maintain interior climate control during frequent entry and exit, improving efficiency during operations in extreme weather conditions.
The trailer also includes 30 Pelican™ VCV200 protective equipment cases, providing secure, organized storage and transportation for mission-critical equipment and sensitive gear.
