Custom Specialty Structures

Clegg Industries builds custom specialty structures in our Victoria, TX shop. We build container structures, electronic shelters, blast-resistant labs, field camps, and modular offices. Most leave our shop ready to set down and put to work.

Our project pages show more than 60 specialty structures. We have built for every branch of the U.S. military, federal agencies, defense contractors, and NASA’s space shuttle program since 1979. When you call us, a person picks up.

Specialty Structures We Build

Container Structures

We turn 20-foot and 40-foot ISO shipping containers into control rooms, labs, repair shops, and command centers. A container ships like freight and stacks like freight.

Electronic and Radar Shelters

We build mil-spec style electronic shelters and radar shelters for defense contractors. That includes S-280 type and S-749 style shelters built in aluminum.

Blast-Resistant Structures

For plants where a spark is a real danger, we build blast-resistant structures with explosion-proof electrical.

Field Camps and Living Quarters

We build bunkhouses, crew quarters, guard booths, and full field camps. Some are built to move hundreds of times.

Modular Buildings and Offices

Portable offices, switch houses, and modular buildings for sites that need a room fast.

Lab and Test Structures

Labs and test structures for work that can’t happen in a normal building. That includes a portable anechoic chamber.

Project №550, Antarctic Field Camp Modules

We built three field camp modules for Antarctic research. They ride on sled decks pulled by a tractor.

All-aluminum frames with 6-inch insulated foam panels
Rated for 50 below zero to 30 above
Two 60 kW Cummins diesel generators
Diesel heaters and electric wall heaters
Galley, washroom, shower, washer and dryer, sleeping quarters, and storage

Project №583, 20-Foot Drone Repair Facility

Built in a 20-foot ISO container
15 kW generator plus a 50-amp shore power hookup
35,000 BTU environmental control unit with 5 kW of electric heat
Four stainless steel workstations, 3D printers, and a CNC mill for making parts on site

Custom blast-resistant metal entry doors

Do you have specialty structures in stock?

No. Every specialty structure is custom. The projects on our site are past jobs that show what we can do.

Do you work with shipping containers?

Yes. We modify 20-foot and 40-foot ISO containers, including high cube units.

Can you build for extreme heat or cold?

Yes. Our Antarctic modules are rated from 50 below zero to 30 above. We wire to U.S. or foreign power standards.

Can you build something too big to ship in one piece?

Yes. Some of our structures bolt together on site. We built one in Victoria and set it up in California.

Do you deliver outside Texas?

Yes. We can transport and install projects anywhere in the world.
