Custom Specialty Trailers

Clegg Industries builds custom specialty trailers in our Victoria, TX shop. We build command trailers, mobile labs, hazmat response trailers, machine shop trailers, and transport trailers. We build the trailer and everything inside it.

Our project pages show more than 140 specialty trailers. We have built for every branch of the U.S. military, federal agencies, defense contractors, and NASA’s space shuttle program since 1979. When you call us, a person picks up.

Specialty Trailers We Build

Command Trailers

Command trailers give a team a place to plan and run an event in the field. We build them for public safety agencies, sheriff’s offices, and military units.

Mobile Lab Trailers

Mobile labs bring testing and research to the site. We have built a greenhouse containment lab, water testing labs, and emissions labs.

Hazmat and Disaster Response Trailers

Hazmat response trailers and disaster relief units go where the trouble is. They carry their own power, so they work when the grid is down.

Workshop Trailers

Machine shop trailers and inspection workshops put real tools on wheels.

Transport Trailers

Transport trailers carry gear that won’t fit on a standard trailer. That includes helicopters and large antennas.

Gooseneck, Bumper-Pull, Tractor, and Flatbed Trailers

We build on every common trailer type. See our previous builds using the links below.

What We Build Into a Specialty Trailer

Every specialty trailer is different. These are the things we do most often.

  • Generators, shore power, and transfer switches
  • AC, heat, and explosion-proof HVAC
  • AC and DC electrical
  • Workstations, data wiring, and PA systems
  • Galleys, restrooms, and custom cabinets
  • Stairs, decks, awnings, and ramp doors
  • Sandblasting and paint
  • Builds to military and government specs

Retrofits and Refurbs

A lot of trailer work starts with a trailer the client already owns. We retrofit, repair, and refurbish specialty trailers. On one Air Force job, we added a custom aluminum ramp door and new mounting brackets to hold gear in place on the road.

One Shop Builds the Trailer and Everything Inside It

Most trailer builders sell you a shell and leave the rest to you. Clegg does it all in one shop. Our crew does the welding, wiring, generators, HVAC, cabinets, and paint. You get one contract and one team.

Secure and Shielded Trailers

The same shop builds mobile SCIF trailers and RF shielded trailers. If your trailer needs a secure room or shielding, it can stay under one roof.
